Hi! I’m Kristine, a calligraphy artist from Hong Kong who is now living in Liverpool, UK.
As an international Cost of Living Researcher, I used to travel around the world 5 months per year for work. People often ask why I would quit such a dream job, and that’s because I discovered calligraphy in 2016!
Before that I had dabbled in different hobbies, but nothing has got me so enamoured like calligraphy. So much so, that I would rather letter on my notebook than people watch in a new city!
A few months after taking the plunge and quitting my job, I set up my own studio, where I shared many fond memories with my students. My work was also recognised by many top brands, whom I have had the pleasure of collaborating with.
I now offer online and in-person services in both the UK and Hong Kong.
WHY I LOVE CALLIGRAPHY
It allows you to be creative, but is less intimidating to get started with than drawing or painting, as we all know our ABC's!
Calligraphy is also a versatile activity. You can write a beautiful looking word in 1 minute with a brush pen, but you can also end up lettering for hours with a dip pen without noticing the room has turned dark.
It's a skill that makes you the most popular person in your circles! Friends and family will turn to you for personalising gifts, envelopes, place cards for parties and more.
